FROM COACH KERR, WRESTLING HEAD COACH
To All,
Who's Next?
That will be our mantra for the upcoming season. One of the expectations for our wrestlers is that they attend a summer camp and participate in freestyle/greco roman wrestling. I have negotiated a reduced fee if we have ten wrestlers commit to the clinic.
Please find the attached information. Other clinics are available but will be more expensive and require extensive travel.

Two local high schools wrestlers are determined to defend the state championships that they won last season.
Cy-Fair High senior Jake Ekster (130 pound boys champion) and Cy Creek High junior Anna McAleavey (128 pound girls champion) made history last season, and they’ll look to keep doing that this winter.
Ekster became the second Cy-Fair wrestler to win a state title (Austin McCain won state in 2006), and he has the opportunity to be the Bobcats’ first-ever two-time state champion.
“I want to make a statement this year,” Ekster said. “I don’t just want to win it. (I) want to be dominant.”
McAleavey is Cy Creek’s first state wrestling champion, and she’ll have the opportunity to win two more state titles in her career.
