Varsity & JV:
Cy-Creeks' JV tennis team played Cy-Falls Thursday, October 17 at Cy-Falls. Competition was fierce and Cy-Creek fell 7-12. All players competed valiantly!!!
Winners were: Michelle Cao, Thomas Cappelle, Michael Cao, Sai A Reddy, Rian Varner, Scott Sweeney, Mark Campbell, and Sarah Halpin.

Cy Creek Varsity Tennis ended with a strong season this fall with a winning record of 5-4. This put Cy Creek in 5th place, which is a
solid improvement over last year. Leyla Martinez was undefeated for the entire season and champions this season with the best record
on the team.
The last match of the fall season was against Cy Falls with Cy Creek walking away victorious with a 14 to 5 win. Standout play for Cy
Creek was given by mixed doubles team of Leyla Martinez & Norel Estrada. Singles players Cameron Frederick, Ricky Nguyen,
Hannah Flinn, Gina Miller, Randi Campbell, and Erin Bass all had impressive wins.
This season we also give a shout out to two senior players who have been on the varsity team for four years, Cameron Frederick and
Gina Miller. Way to go Creek!
The JV match against Cy-Falls last Tuesday has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 17 at Cy-Falls.

The Varsity Tennis team fell to a record of 4-4 last week losing to Cy-Ranch 16/3. We play Cy-Falls tomorrow at home vying for 5th place in the district.
The JV team lost to Cy-Ranch on Tuesday.

The Varsity Tennis team has been busy and motivated over the last few weeks.
On Sept. 17th the team faced rock solid competition with Cy -Woods but still managed to pull out some outstanding wins. Boys’ doubles brother team of Steven and Jason Huynh, girl’s doubles of Kendal Petterson & Leyla Martinez, and singles play by Leyla Martinez revved up cougar pride.
Then on Sept. 20th the Creek team dominated all the play in a 16 to 3 match win against Cy-Springs. Outstanding mastery of the game was demonstrated by Ricky Nguyen, Jessie Bui, and Nicole Medanic in doubles, and Kendall Peterson, Leyla Martinez, Randi Campbell, and Erin Bass who all conquered impressive wins.
Next, the Cougars faced on Sept. 24th one of the best teams in the district, Langham Creek. Ricky Nguyen, Kendall Petterson, and Erin Campbell all devoured center count with an amazing wins in the singles division.
Wish our impressive Varsity Tennis positive power on their last two tournaments in this fall season as they challenge Cy Falls on Oct. 1st and Cy Ranch on Oct. 8th.
The JV tennis team lost a close one to Langham Creek, 10-9, on Tuesday, September 24th. It was a well fought battle by the entire team with many matches going the distance. Winners were: Cesar Medina, Michael Cao, Mark Campbell, Scott Sweeney, Haleigh Hurst, Sai A Reddy, Tin La, Sarah Halpin, Jane Stewart , and Rakelmarie Hernandez.

On Tuesday, varsity lost to Cy-Woods 15-4 bringing their record to 3-2. Friday’s scheduled match against Cy Springs was rescheduled for Monday, 9/23 due to weather.
JV Tennis lost a tough one to Cy-Woods on Tuesday, September 17 by a score of 2-17. Winners were Haleigh Hurst, Sai A Reddy, Michael Cao.

Cy-Creek Varsity Tennis powerhoused Cy-Ridge on Tuesday, September 10th with some masterful play and domination of the courts. The nearly clean sweep over Cy-Ridge resulted in an 18 to 1 win overall. Varsity Girls singles conquered all of their matches with outstanding controlling performances by Kendall Perterson, Leyla Martinez, and Gina Miller. Stellar showings from boys’ single players Steven Huynh, Norel Estrada, Ricky Nguyen, and Cameron Frederick also ranked applause. Mixed doubles of Leyla Martinez and Norel Estrada put on a full and forceful shut out of scoring on Cy-Ridge.
Last Friday’s Varsity tennis match up saw a 12 to 7 win by Cy Creek against Cy-Lakes. Commanding triumphs were well earned by Corbin Young, Jesse Bui, Steven Huynh, and Zach Mathai in boys’ singles. For the girls’ Leyla Martinez, Erin Bass, and Taylor Campbell showed Cougar power in the singles division. Cy Creek took command in double matches with strong winds by Norel Estrada with Jesse Bui, sister team of Randi and Taylor Campbell, and Erin Bass with Zach Mathai. The Varsity Tennis Team improved their record to 3-1
The Cy Creek JV Tennis Team disgraced Cy Lakes on Friday afternoon 12 to 7. The following students slammed their way to a win:
Sai A Reddy, Cesar Medina, Allie Teel, Kirsty Taylor, Rakelmarie Hernandez, Sarah Halpin, Michael Cao, Tin La, Mark Campbell, and Scott Sweeney.
There was a great effort by the entire team to bring the win home.
