The Varsity Girls Cross Country team placed 3rd at the District 17-5A meet last Fri Oct 25th. Placing third as a team, they edged out Cy-Falls for the Regional qualifying slot by 2 pts, scoring 101 to 103. Leading the Lady Cougars was Freshman Morgan Michals who placed 9th over-all, and individually qualified herself for regionals. The rest of the Lady Cougars (Kendra Long, Katie Deakins, Allison Hilpert, Jennifer Trevino, Kaytie Lee, Jamie Parmley) ran with a purpose, competing with fire in their eyes for every place, they accomplished their biggest goal in qualifying as a team.
Saturday the girls competed in the Region III XC Championships. With 23 teams on the start line, the Lady Cougars were 10th over-all as a team. They will have a short break and will immediately start training for track season and look forward to the 2014 XC season!

Cross Country held an Intra-Squad Meet at Cy Creek on Friday.

This week the Cougars headed back to The Woodlands for the College Park Invitational cross country meet. In the boys' varsity race
three runners medaled: Tommy Watson (sophomore), Michael Campbell (freshman), and Conor Linekin (junior). Karl Lawson (junior)
and Ethan Maxson (freshman) rounded out the top five.
The girls' varsity also held their own with medals earned by Morgan Michals (freshman), Kendra Long (junior), and Allison Hilpert
(freshman). Rounding out the top five were Kaytie Lee (sophomore) and Jennifer Zheng (sophomore).
The JV boys were led by Zach Bryant (junior), Ian Sims (sophomore), Ben Brock (freshman), Christian Villanueva (junior), and Tristen

The cross country season is now in its home stretch. With homecoming behind us, many of our runners can return to the goal at hand and their district meet results. Saturday, September 28th, the Cougars traveled to Brenham for the Hillacious Invitational, while both varsity squads performed well. The highlight was on the way home when the bus stopped to visit the Blue Bell Creamery for a post race snack. Many of the runners expressed interest in a career as an ice cream tester.
Creek's Boys' Varsity was led by Michael Campbell (freshman), Tommy Watson (sophomore), Conor Linekin (junior), Max Clarke (junior), and Ethan Felske (freshman). The Ladies' Varsity fought the hills of Brenham with Morgan Michals (freshman), Kendra Long (junior), Katie Deakins (freshman), Allison Hilpert (freshman), and Jamie Parmley (sophomore), rounding out the first five for Creek.
The JV girls battled the rains with results as follows for Creek: Melissa Weimar (freshman), Michelle Gazzaneo (junior), Thanh Tran (freshman), Ann Pham (freshman), and Dairyn Salguero (senior). The boys' JV finished 3rd place out of 11 teams and were led by Zack Bryant (junior), Ian Sims (sophomore), Ben Brock (freshman), Isaiah Smith (junior), and Christian Villanueva (junior).

Although the Cougars were ready to battle the elements at the Cy Fair I.S.D. Cross Country Invitational this past Friday afternoon, the rolling thunder and persistent rains would not subside, and the Cy Fair weather wizards were forced to cancel the meet, as darkness was upon us. We look forward to this Saturday's meet in Brenham, Texas at the Brenham Hillacious Invitational.

Coach Mueller sprained his ankle last Wednesday during afternoon practice at Spring Creek Park. Thursday, Coach showed up on
crutches, and by Friday, he was back with 85% movement. Way to tough it out, Coach!
This past Saturday, September 14th, the Cougars went to the Humble Region Preview Meet with over 26 teams competing. All of
Creek’s squads fared well:
For the men’s varsity, freshman Michael Campbell took Creek’s top honor, with sophomore Tommy Watson, junior Max Clarke, junior
Conor “Superman” Linekin, and senior James Hollas following.
The ladies’ varsity finished with a very respectful 12th out of 26 teams. Again leading the pack was freshman Morgan Michals, with
freshman Katie Deakins and junior Kendra Long close behind. Also rounding out the top five for Creek were freshmen Allison Hilpert
and Jennifer Trevino.
For men’s junior varsity, junior Zach Bryant, sophomore Tristen Kellar, junior Christian Villanueva, freshman Ben Brock, and senior
Caleb Brown led for Creek.
The ladies’ junior varsity had a strong race, finishing 9th out of 18 teams. Sophmore Kaytie Lee placed first for the Cougars with senior
Anastatia Harrison, freshman Melissa Weimar, junior Michelle Gazzaneo, and Thanh Tran behind her.
All races were finished, and the athletes were back at home in time for the start of the A & M vs. Alabama game, which pleased this
